We're out of India....woohoo!!
Well we arrived here on Monday (we think) and thank god we're out of India! As nice as it was to experience the culture there, a week is about as much as we could handle!!!
Hong Kong is about as different as you could imagine! It's clean for a start and a pleasant change not to have to see people urinating and defecating on the streets in front of everyone! Having said all that, in exchange for staying in a central location in Hong Kong for little more than 5 pounds each a night, it's not without it's touts trying to sell you suits, Rolex's etc!
What else can we say. We've been up a 6km cable car ride (blagging a nice half price discount!), and been up the longest escalator in the world. Unfortunately it only went one way so we had to walk back again! We've also been on what must have been one of the steepest trams up the mountain to get a good view of Victoria harbour in Hong Kong:
Tomorrow we're planning on taking a train into mainland China. Louise wants to take in the sights and me, well I'm on a search for some sweet and sour St. Bernard! I hear they breed them especially!! I'd like to give snakes blood a try, which might be nice! haha!
Anyway, that's enough for today - here's some more pics of this mad place.
